- Steel is lighter and retains less body heat than leather, but will get hot if left in the sun.

- While taking a break from the armour, put your chain maille in a cooler or refrigerator.  It makes it rather nice to put back on.

- Keep ventilation points breathable.  Grommets into the underarms of a gambison or tie on sleeves work well for this as do short gloves.  Keep your collar looser than you may normally.</description>
