Twilight Costumes: Resources and Links

Published by madrigalblue at 10:56 am under TV and Film Costumes Edit This

Alice Cullen - TwilightMy good friend Michelle asked if I could help her research Twilight costumes. Even though I haven’t read/seen Twilight, I figured I’d help her out anyway. Please post additional advice in the comments if you have it, as Michelle is looking to make an Alice Cullen costume.

  • The most valuable resource I uncovered was a Livejournal Community dedicated to Twilight costumes. Researching costumes in a community forum is something I highly recommend, as others can provide advice and feedback on it.
  • The Twilight costume question has been answered in Yahoo! Answers, providing a character-by-character list of suggestions.
  • Squidoo offers a Twilight costume guide , broken down by character. Michelle, who wants to go as Alice Cullen, should look here.

As with all movie and book-based costumes, it’s worth noting that a second-hand find or something homemade (like Alice’s necklace could be) often makes a superior impression among other fans. This is also a specific suggestion to Michelle, who enjoys shopping and is very creative.

I love Alice Cullen and I came upon your website when looking for a costume for her. Earlier this year I got my hair cut to look like Alice’s and I am aiming to find a costume so that I can be her this year for Halloween. However, every time I search I come up empty. I really look forward to seeing the end results of your costume. Alice’s costume should be dainty but still capture a grownup vibe. Dark colors are the best and ballet flats could easily complete the look. When designing the look, try to capture the essence of magic. When looking at Alice, one can clearly see something magical about her, so why not base the outfit around that.
Thank you very much for your time.
