Top Five Hottest Kilt Appearances in Movies
By now, we all know that I love men in kilts! After all, I did blog for an entire week on kilts, including a special blog about hot famous men who wear kilts. As much as I love some of those top men, such as Nathan Fillion, this list is all about kilts appearing in movies, and the hottest circumstances thereof.
Without further ado, here is the list…
5. Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart. Gibson looks incredibly natural in character and wearing this item. The opening scenes, some of which are about wooing and romance, explain some of the allure of the tartan as well. You get to see a kilted man with a weapon, kilted man on horseback, and a kilted man winning a fair lady’s heart.
4, The wedding party in Four Weddings and a Funeral. It’s not that the guys are necessarily attractive, it’s that they stride around proudly wearing kilts and that there are more than one of them. Hold me back!
3. Christopher Lambert in Highlander. This film particularly captures the sway of the garment when the kilt-wearer is fighting. That kind of freedom is just plain awesome to watch.
2. George Clooney in Intolerable Cruelty. What’s better than George Clooney playing a doctor on E.R.? George Clooney in a kilt. This movie features him in one.
1. Liam Neeson as Rob Roy. Why is this at the top of the list, you ask? Any woman with a kilt fantasy loves this movie best, mainly because Rob Roy and his buxom wife get it on near a standing stone while he’s still wearing the kilt. This is a prime example of the versatility of the garment as well as its nearly universal appeal to ladies. Liam Neeson is also sexy in general, and he looks even better in a kilt than he does in Jedi robes.

I kinda got a thing for kilts myself. My husband is wanting a utilikilt as his payment for the repairs he’s doing on the house (damaged in Hurricane Ike). I figure, it’s a reward for both of us.
Deanna and Stephanie,
Utilikilts are GREAT. I love them! I’ll have to do a post with Utilikilt videos…they have some great ones.
Sri–I’ll check out your blog now!
