Kilt Week: Geeky Women Adore Famous Men in Kilts

As I promised, eye candy for the ladies, fashionable advice for men! Today we’ll be examining famous men that wear kilts. It just so happened that I chose the four most attractive examples (in my opinion). These are also examples that should appeal to any geeky ladies out there, and I find that most geeky guys want to emulate one or more of these sexy fellows. Sean Connery rocks a kilt

Sean Connery. This man is the king of all kilt wearers. He’s authentic, accent and all. Connery gets away with the pompous attitude due to his extreme sex appeal. On the geek scale, he’s played King Arthur and the father of Indiana Jones. How could you not love him? Seeing Connery as King Arthur in First Knight made me want to impale Lancelot (Richard Gere) with a jousting lance…but that’s okay, because Connery basically did that to Gere every time they acted in the same scene together. I’m not sure where Chuck Norris gets this bad ass image from when Sean Connery is still left in the world. Perhaps Barack Obama is the only one that could beat them both.

Pictured here, Sean Connery wears the Prince Charlie. His sporran functions not only as a murse (or man purse), but also keeps everything in check so that Connery does not have to cross his ankles like a girl to keep his private bits from showing. Well done, Sean, well done.

Ewan McGregor. Google him, and chances are you’ll find that this comes up in one of the top Ewan McGregor takes himself seriously in a kilt.searches (text or image). Not only does McGregor take himself seriously in this thing, he gets professional photos to prove it. On the geek scale, holy crap! He played Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars! Obi-Wan is my favorite Jedi; aside from his classic fighting style (I’m a fencer at heart), he’s so serious and attractive, unlike that whiny kid what’s his name…oh yeah, Anakin.Nathon Fillion keeps his sexy Browncoat image

Nathan Fillion. In classic Browncoat fashion, this self-titled “semi-famous actor” of Firefly fame wears a brown leather kilt. On the geek scale, Fillion is great to his fans. Aside from being generally good looking, Fillion attends conventions and gets the geeky references that more high-brow actors simply miss. Also, Fillion is a man’s man, generally secure in his masculinity. Who else would wear such tightpants as a captain or say “The hammer is my penis” in a singalong blog?

Gerard Butler. I have to swoon every time I say or even type that name. Gerard Butler first caught my attention when he played Merrick in Timeline. From Dear Frankie to 300, Butler chooses characters that I wouldn’t mind er, Gerard Butler. He doesn’t even really need a sword to kill Chuck Norris.choosing myself.  On the geek scale, all geeks have to love this guy. Men want to be like him (have you SEEN his arms???) and women want him (have you seen this man!?) because of his talent, hotness, and prowess. Butler also isn’t afraid to wear pink, and he really knows how to wield a sword and ride a horse. Totally medieval = totally sexy.

Take this knowledge and go forth! Men–buy kilts. Women–don’t be shy about looking at men wearing kilts. Not. At. All.
