Pet Costumes for Christmas - Shop Online!
My mother has an adorable, delicate little chihuahua girl named Rosie. Rosie is lucky to be a dog, because she would not do too well as a person–she hates to wear clothes! Mostly, she experiences a paralyzing fear of velcro, and most pet costumes have velcro. Because Rosie won’t play dress up, I’ve been forced to live vicariously through others’ pets until my fiance and I get married and have kids of our own. And that’s like…years. So dress up your pets and send in some pictures to be featured on this blog!
Here are some online shops to get you started.
Costumecraze.com offers some adorable outfits for dogs of all sizes. My favorite of them all is the Christmas elf costume , which even features a little belt on the side of the costume. The elf costume is priced at $13.97, just like the popular Santa and angel costume. For under $6.00, you can even order antlers for your pooch.
SpoiledRottenDoggies.com would be my destination if our dear little Rosie would wear clothing. Aside from some delightful Christmas costumes, this site also offers regular holiday clothing for canines. Why be alone in that “adorable Christmas sweater” when your pet can share in the torture? For $8 and up, SRD sells cute scarf and hat ensembles. One of the Santa dog costumes even features fake stuffed arms to make your dog look like a biped. There’s a ruffle collar for small dogs in Christmas colors, and even a Hanukkah ensemble for your pet.
Check it out…and if your dog will wear these…I’m jealous.
Disadvantages of custom ordering your costume–postponed until tomorrow. Check back then!
